Reviewers noted as long as 5 plus years ago, a staff person would basically yell and scream for people to line up based on the table assignment. If you read any of the 3 star reviews or lower, you will see that time and again, one major critique is the manner in which the staff lines people up. It was not! If you like corny & vaudeville instead of witty humor, then this is the show for you. Most of the reviews touted how the show was funny & hilarious. What a mistake! I am completely baffled how it received so many 5 star ratings. When in Tucson don't miss this couple hours of genuine harmless slapstick entertainment! You won''t be sorry!Īfter reading the positive reviews for Two Gun McGraw, a group of us got tickets. You'll come out with a priceless amount of joy and a skip in your step. It is well worth the $20 per ticket price. If you had a hard day or a challenging week, The Gaslight is the best place to go to put your troubles behind you and experience a good harmless belly laugh. The show is a parody of a program about the old west, filled with silly jokes, double entendres, dancing, singing, colorful costumes and characters, and genuine fun. Though the days of Vaudeville were well before my time, from what I've heard of that type of theater, this hearkens back very much to genre. It is fun and light but presented by musicians and actors that are top notch. The Gaslight theater transports us back in time to a type of live presentation that no longer exists. Our inability to get admittance, certainly bears out what a quality presentation it is, and why it is so highly desirable. We have tried on a number of occasions to get tickets to The Gaslight Theater. We visit Tucson every year for a break from the rainy Pacific Northwest.
